Dutch consultants had been unsuccessful in identifying senior candidates with
the international experience and clear understanding of what the American client
expected from the Logistics and Supply Chain function. MSSL was briefed, adver-tised
in Holland in Intermediar and De Telegraaf, interviewed and assessed
candidates in Holland and presented a shortlist of four.
A Dutch national with international logistics experience in three 'blue chips' in
UK, France and Holland and with excellent language skills was appointed.

European Distribution Manager for
US leader in high volume consumer goods

The company was establishing a new distribution centre in either UK or Holland,
subsequently decided on UK. Advertised position in Holland and UK and interviewed
candidates in both locations. Presented shortlist of two UK, two Dutch and one
French Canadian.
The French Canadian (with experience in Canada, UK and Europe) was appointed to
establish the new distribution centre and implement VMR (Vendor Managed Replenishment)
with major retailers.

European Purchasing Managers for
major UK engineering group - group roles
|

The group, with 30 plants in Europe, including several in Germany, were seeking
two purchasing managers with strategic and operational skills and fluency in both
English and German. MSSL advertised in the Telegraph and Frankurter
Zeitung and interviewed candidates in both locations.
From the shortlist presented, one German and one British manager were selected.

Procurement Managers in Canada for major
international group

The objective was to strengthen the impact of the Procurement function in Canada
following reorganisation. MSSL had previously successfully recruited purchasing
pro-fessionals in the UK for this group.
MSSL worked in partnership with a Canadian executive search company, interviewed
and assessed candidates in Canada and presented a shortlist, from which two Canadians
were appointed.

Management Team for major re-engineering project
in Philippines for US brand leader
|

The company wanted to establish a senior project team (including Purchasing
and Supply Chain) at their major manufacturing operation in the Philippines to
work with local management to re-engineer the operation to reduce lead times and
shorten product supply cycle. A recruitment exercise in the US had been unsuccessful.
We advertised and interviewed candidates in the UK, Holland and Portugal.
US executives in London selected from the final 16 and six appointments were
made.

An international brewing group required a Project Manager for six months to
assess purchasing and supply conditions in Hungary and make recommendations.
A UK national successfully completed the assignment.
